It will be a lengthy process, but...
1.) you can open an account in Youtube or log into your Youtube account and upload a video.
2.)When you go to upload a video, you can choose the upload option to upload a video directly from your web cam or computer camera. When you select that, you can record yourself talking on the video or push your computer screen lower,so it will be a black, blank background when recording your voice.
3.) complete your video and then once uploaded, make sure that the video is listing as "public."
4.) go into prezi, edit your video, from the selection bubble in the upper left corner, click "insert" and insert a Youtube video.
5.) keep the prezi tab open and switch to the Youtube tab that you already have opened...go back into your videos under your account or click "Video Manager" to see the list of videos that you have created
6.) click the video that you want to add to the prezi, like you are watching the video
7.)right click and COPY the web address while the video is playing and PASTE the web address into the insert Youtube video address display screen
8.) insert the video in the prezi tab and the Youtube video of your voice will be in the screen with your prezi.
This is a primative way to add voice to a prezi, but I was forced to figure out a solution by having an assignment due for finals and I just got creative figuring out how to add voice to my assignment that had to be uploaded independently by my instructor.
Lastly, you can resize the Youtube video of your voice. You can get an idea of how I added the voice-overs into my prezi by searching "The Student Development of Brooke Moreland." There you can see how I creatively put the screens into my presentation.
I searched this issue and found no results, now that I figured it out...I wanted to pass along the wealth of knowledge :)
***This can be helpful for students that are working on computers where they are not the administrators, so they may not have access to popular software that is usually used for adding voice to a prezi.
