I am attempting to add video files to my Prezi, and there seems to be a threshold where Prezi begins to crash. A small amount of data before I further explain the issue:
For example, I was able to load in roughly the same number of videos into two different Prezis. In one test I used video files that were all ~1 MB in size. In the other test I used videos that were ~300 MB each.
I was able to load in about 12 videos for each trial into a blank Prezi.
We have generic templates that we've created for our company for our presentations. These templates have nothing out of the ordinary in terms of file types in them. When we have our templates, which consist of a few images (we tested with .swf in some, and without any animated files in others), it seems to reduce the maximum video capacity substantially. Again, the size does not seem to have any affect on this capacity. Sometimes Prezi starts crashing at ~100 mb, other times it can be well over 1 gig. I believe it is affected by a number of elements.
Needless to say, this is a very frustrating issue for us to deal with, because we can't seem to pinpoint what causes the crashing, and we also aren't able to figure out exactly what's causing alterations to the crashing threshold, or how to reduce the chance.
I would love to answer any questions or give any further information necessary. We are really looking forward to a solution to this, as it's the only thing preventing us from implementing this across our company and purchasing many more pro accounts.
Thanks,
Cel
- We are using h.264 mp4 files, and they load in just fine as a supported file type
- The files are stored locally on the computer
- We are using the desktop app, and not the online editor.
