My Prezi refuses to run on Windows

I have created a Prezi using the Prezi app on MacOS X (10.8.5) and when I export a portable Prezi it will not run on a PC. I have only tested on Win XP and Win 7, not Win 8, and it runs fine on my Mac. On the PC the file starts loading and usually the progress indicator stops and the program appears to freeze (no activity or progress after 15+ minutes and have to kill the process), other times it just crashes. I have seen it fail anywhere from ~25% to ~75% on the progress indicator and I never receive any error messages.

I have checked the usual issues:

- biggest images are 1920x1080
- only supported filetypes are used (swf - static, not animated, jpg, png, fly, and mp4)
- filename and path contain only legal characters
- complete path is currently C:\v06\Prezi.exe

A couple observations:

- there are a couple files with "#" in the filename inside the content/data/repo folder - is this a problem?
- there are files in the above folder that are no longer used in the Prezi - is there any way to remove them?

I understand that it is possible that in certain instances SWFs might work ok in MacOS but not in Windows. Any way to identify such SWFs? I have opened all the SWFs found inside the "repo" folder in Flash player 14 on Windows without any error messages.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Glen
