My prezi is not live yet, and I did present this issue as a reply to a different topic -- but that topic is marked answered and my question is related but different.
When I click "Present" I almost always get a nasty first look at the prezi:

See that ugly rectangle to the right of the background? I do not ever want someone looking at a presentation to see that rectangle.
Occasionally, and I cannot tell why at all, I will get the proper framed first view:
