Today, we released a JavaScript version of the Prezi player.
New player?
This isn't a big change. We just want to let you know that we're using a different technology to display your prezis. This new player is based on JavaScript–the previous version used Flash.
Will I notice a difference?
Hopefully the only thing that seems different is a smoother Prezi experience. When you're not moving from one path point to the next, everything should appear exactly the same.
Is that it?
Almost. There is one known issue with importing SWF files that contain animation. With the new player, any SWF files containing animation will not work. If you have prezis with SWF files in them already, you'll see a static image in most cases.
Then why make the change?
We're sure in the long-term, this new technology will help Prezi be a smoother, faster experience for everyone that uses Prezi across all platforms and devices. This is the first stage of this process.
Can I go back to the old version?
Yes! Just click on 'old version' where you see it underneath your prezi. We will keep this option here for a few months, but we will remove it eventually.
